Phoebe Cates was a great child star during the 1970's.  There is another Phoebe character in the book, Catcher In The Rye.  Phoebe's older brother, the main character, mentions that he is going to run away and for Phoebe to meet him at the bus station to say goodbye.  When he arrives early, he notices Phoebe coming toward him in the distance carrying an extra large suitcase. She wasn't going to let him leave without her.
